In Mathematical circles, the number ten completes a set of numbers, but where Numerology is concerned, it is the number nine that closes the cycle of Core numbers.
What is a Number Nine Person Like?
The number nine is a very humanitarian number. You are far more concerned with the spiritual than the material. People love to unburden themselves to you, considering that you are basically very sensitive, compassionate and loving. You believe in offering selfless service to those who need it. Even then, you can be very practical, not letting the heart overtake the head—you do not want a situation falling to pieces. Once a responsibility has been handed over to you, the organizers can rest in peace, knowing fully well that your resourcefulness and organizational skills will take care of everything. Thus, your grit, determination and strong will can really take you places.
The number nine does not have an easy time in life, right from birth. Relationships can prove difficult, especially at home, for it is not easy to strike a balance between the material world and the spiritual world. And woe betides you if you are the head of the household, for you will not enjoy any kind of criticism being leveled against you or interference in your plans. On the negative side, you can become too conceited with all that praise being lavished on your head.
Associations of the Number Nine
Norse mythology associates the Creator/Father, Odin, with the number nine. The Romans linked their Moon Goddess, Luna, and Goddess of abundance, Juno, with this numeral. For the Greeks, number nine is Hecate, the Queen of the Witches. Ask these witches, and they will tell that the number nine proves that “whatever you do, will come back to you.” This is because it follows the 3 x 3 rule.
The Ancient Chaldeans felt that the number nine was too sacred to be considered equivalent to any letter in their alphabet. For them, the numeral stood for inspiration, ultimately leading to invention, change and growth. The Chinese compare this numeral to the magic square with the first nine single digits being present on the number line; this is the Lo Shi. A fetus takes nine calendar months to develop completely into a baby; thus, the number nine has esoteric significance too.
Beliefs Linked with the Number Nine
Considering that it is such a pure numeral, it should come as no surprise that pearl and white are its colors. To show your purity of heart, you may gift your adored one with white roses, lily of the valley, or white carnations. If the person is fonder of gemstones than flowers, it would be advisable to go for pearls, silver, diamonds or platinum.
Dreaming about the number nine might bring a newborn into the house. Finding nine peas in a pod is a real Blessing. If your home address has the number nine in it, you are bound to get lucky. Superstitious lore advises the person hunting for an ideal soul mate to count 99 stars in the sky for nine days.
