Qualities Associated with the Number One

You attract everyone with your charisma and loving personality, if you are on the positive side of the number one. Your gifts are timely and come with a hint of romance in them. Despite your tendency to lean towards perfection and making sure that everything is perfect, you are basically a happy person who can spread much cheer.

But woe betides you if you are on the darker side of the number one, for you will find it hard to make friends. Your loneliness owes itself to an unyielding and egotistical personality. Yes, it is good to be individualistic, but not to the extent of being selfish and self-centered. Your tendency to over-dramatize everything is also going to put people off.

Miscellaneous Associations with the Number One

Some Ancient Greek Gods and Goddesses are represented by this numerical symbol—Apollo, who is associated with prophecy, light, poetry, music and healing; and Aphrodite, who is the Goddess of love and beauty. Vesta, Roman Goddess of the hearth and fire, as well as Diana, Roman Goddess of the hunt and the moon—are number one too. The Chinese bestow their God Pangu with the number one. For the Egyptians, it is God Neter and Jehovah; for the Scandinavians, it is Frey, the Hearth Goddess.

The Jewish, Christian and Islamic Faiths believe that there is only one God (monotheistic faiths), and therefore lay great stress on the number one via the symbolic representation of a pillar, the pillar of faith or “I am.”

Ever heard of the Philosopher’s Stone? It was believed to be the magical catalyst that helped to transform base metals into gold. Considering that this Stone is linked to the numeral one, medieval metaphysicians and alchemists worshipped it.

What are the first flowers that most of you go for when you wish to exhibit your affection for someone? You are right; it is lovely red roses! And if roses are not available, red carnations will do. It follows therefore, that the colors red, scarlet, cherry and crimson top the list when it comes to the number one. Your loved ones will know that they hold a special place or the number one spot in your heart, when you offer them rubies or garnets.

Superstitions Linked to the Number One

Believe it or not, but there are all kinds of irrational beliefs associated with this numeral too. For instance, you are supposed to break your leg if you break an egg. Imagine the scenario if you are a regular “egg breaker!” Another one states that you should keep your money only in one pocket, if you do not want to lose it. A person with one hand is supposed to be psychic, but a person with one eye is a witch. And if you dream about the number one, God is sending you a direct message.
