Meditation – The Dread…?
We all want the quick fix. Or at least the quickest fix possible. If it can take 5 minutes then why spend 5 hours right?! It’s simply human nature. It makes sense to not waste time.
Meditation is what we’re all searching for. It is the state of natural contentment and overview of life that we might call “happiness”.
It is a state of pure consciousness.
How do we meditate though? The action of doing meditation I mean.
It’s actually really easy. If the desire to meditate enters you that is. All you need is already inside of you. Meditation is about getting to know your soul.
Sitting with your soul. Sitting and listening to your soul. Forgetting the mind for a while.
It’s actually a mystery how it’s possible to “teach” meditation. I mean, without the internal desire for self-knowledge there is no possibility for meditation to happen.
The desire has to be ignited from within. Or perhaps ignited from coming into contact with someone who’s already meditating or in the meditative state. Perhaps it’s contagious?
Is it easy? Is it hard? Both. When it’s already there within you it’s suddenly easy. Before that it’s hard. Meditation is therefore nothing less than a miracle.
No one knows where meditation comes from or how it starts. It just does. It just is.
Is-ness. The experience of pure being. That which is. Stilling the mind. Stilling the senses. Silencing everything. The great OM. The sound of silence.
Just sit down. The rest takes care of itself.
